About our teachers
We want you to know who and what is behind these lessons.
Our teachers are characters
Each course has a named teacher with a voice and a personality, many inspired by famous scientists, writers and thinkers. They are friendly characters, not real people, and they are not the historical figures who inspired them.
Behind the characters are real people who care deeply about education. They work hard on this site: choosing what to teach, setting the standards, and deciding what goes live.
People and AI, together
Our pages are made by people and AI working together. AI writes the first drafts and helps check them. Every unit is checked against outside sources before it’s published.
We still make mistakes
Even with all that care, people make mistakes, and so does AI. A fact, a date or a spelling might slip through. We would rather hear about it than leave it wrong.
