How this all started
These pages didn't start out as a website. They started at home, as something I made for my kids. Whenever a topic felt too big, too old or too confusing (a Greek epic that is nearly 3,000 years old, a fable with a moral hiding inside it, why some trees outlive whole civilizations), I'd build a page to help them make sense of it.
They did the job, but they were homemade. There were typos, a few facts I got wrong, and some clunky bits you had to squint at. Now, with the help of AI, I've been able to go back through them, clean them up, fix the errors, and make them much easier to use, especially on a phone or tablet.
Somewhere along the way I realized there was no reason to keep them to ourselves. So here they are, for you, your kids, your students, or anyone who's ever wanted to finally understand what happens in The Odyssey.
Pull up a chair, pick a page, and have fun learning.
